Union Campaigns

The victory for Lakeside Family and Children’s Services came on January 5, 2006. The bargaining unit consists of residential counselors, who work with the developmentally disabled. These workers work in seven group homes scattered throughout the Bronx. After the victory, Local 888 quickly went to work to begin negotiations for better wages, affordable health care and dignity and respect on the job.
