It’s never too late to think about the future. The UFCW Local 888 has a pension plan for both full time and part time members to help provide our members with an income after retirement. (The terms and benefits eligibility depend on each individual contract) 

In order to expedite applications for retirement benefits, it is recommended that you contact the Pension Fund office at least four (4) months prior to your retirement date. 

The Fund Office also needs a copy of the following documents:

1. Birth certificate; If you don’t have a copy of your birth certificate, the Fund will accept one of the following documents
   1. U. S. Passport;
      
   2. Certificate of Citizenship;
      
   3. Insurance policy over a period five (5) years;
      
   4. Certified school records;
      
   5. Hospital birth records;
      
   6. Certificate of baptism as an infant;
      
   7. Certificate of U.S. Armed Service;
      
   8. Social Security records; or
      
   9. Certified church records
2. Beneficiary birth certificate;
3. Marriage certificate or divorce papers; and
4. Spouse death certificate (if deceased).
